Welcome to Blackberry Hollow, a truly unique off-grid glamping retreat nestled in the lush foothills along the scenic loop of the Cascade Mountains. Our peaceful property offers a secure, gated entrance and is located just minutes from the Wild and Scenic Skykomish River, with access to outdoor adventures including rafting, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, and skiing.
Escape to our charming cabin, designed for comfort and simplicity. Inside, you’ll find a dreamy feather-top leather sofa which converts into a comfortable queen bed, an amazing lounging area that is also a double bed and a built-in bunk with floating stairs, a warm and inviting wood-burning stove, and a comfortable indoor dining area perfect for meals or games. A covered front porch invites you to relax and take in the fresh mountain air, while thoughtful touches like a cart for your luggage or cooler, to ensure your stay is both comfortable and convenient.
Our glamping experience embraces the essence of off-grid living. While there is no traditional electricity or running water inside the cabin, you’ll find rechargeable lights, a solar-powered charging station for small devices, and fresh drinking water provided just outside your door. Nearby, you’ll also have access to filtered well water. The cabin is equipped with a wood-burning stove for heat—please note, it can be temperamental during low-pressure systems, so we kindly ask all guests to review the provided instructions for safe and effective use. Your first bucket of indoor firewood and a fire starter are included—please reserve this firewood for indoor use only.
Inside the cabin, you’ll also enjoy a cozy dining table, dishes, a kettle for boiling water, a selection of games and books, and comfy slippers to help you feel right at home. We encourage guests to embrace the simplicity and serenity of the unplugged lifestyle while being mindful of resource conservation during their stay.
Just steps from your cabin, the covered outdoor kitchen offers a functional cooking space. It features a cookstove, BBQ attachment, seasoned cast iron pans, basic cookware, cooking utensils, a cutting board, knife, oven mitts, a drip coffee maker, salt, pepper and olive oil. Please note the water in this area is non-potable and intended for washing and cleaning only. Soap and sanitizer are provided for your convenience.
Your private firepit area with seating wraps up the little relaxing oasis.—a cozy spot to unwind under the stars. For a more social setting, head down the trail to the shared group fire pit. While outdoor firewood isn’t included, guests are welcome to bring their own or purchase bundles on-site for a fee.
A short walk down the trail leads to the amazing seasonal outdoor shower and a thoughtfully styled portable restroom, shared with other guests on the property. Solar path lights illuminate the trails at night, activating as you walk, and you’ll also find a lantern and deodorizer spray inside the restroom. We do recommend bringing a flashlight for added visibility.
As this is a forested setting, you may encounter local wildlife and small critters such as mice, spiders, mosquitoes, flies, or gnats. We ask guests to help us deter unwanted visitors by keeping food and debris properly stored and cleaned up.
During certain times of the year, you’re welcome to pick and enjoy wild berries along the trails, including huckleberries, salmonberries, thimbleberries, native blackberries, and Himalayan blackberries—just remember to harvest and consume at your own risk.
At Blackberry Hollow we invite you to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature in a beautiful, sustainable, and unforgettable setting.
Please Note: Our property is uniquely situated between the highway, train tracks, and the state park boat launch. As a result, you may hear some noise depending on the time of day and activity in the area. However, our cabins are equipped with noise-canceling windows to ensure a quiet and comfortable environment.
Welcome! A Few Notes to Enhance Your Stay
We're excited to host you at our property. Please review the following guidelines to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone:
General Conduct & Shared Spaces
• While you will have your own private glamping cabin, the property is shared with the owner and other guests. Please be mindful and respectful of others during your stay.
• Remove shoes before entering the cabin to help us maintain cleanliness.
• No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the cabins. A minimum fee of $100 will be charged for violations, with additional fees applied based on the extent of any damage.
Nature, Wildlife & Conservation
• We are committed to sustainable, off-grid living. Cabins do not have running water or electricity, so we ask you to:
o Conserve lighting (rechargeable lights and a power station are available)
o Use the hydrant to refill water or dispose of strained wastewater
• Secure all food, coolers, and garbage to prevent attracting wildlife and rodents.
• Do not pick berries or plants for resale or profit. You may enjoy them during your stay, but please do so at your own risk.
• Stay on established trails at all times. There is no river access through the woods.
Fire Safety & Cabin Care
• Fires must be attended at all times and fully extinguished before you leave the area.
• Keep solo stoves and propane firepits free from water—moisture can cause safety issues and damage.
• If using the woodstove, always keep the air vent open while in use to ensure proper ventilation and safe operation.
• Only place hot pots, pans, or kettles on approved, heat-resistant surfaces to avoid damaging cabin interiors.
Parking
• Please park in designated areas only.
• Do not block or park on the main drive, as it must remain accessible for all guests and emergency vehicles.
• Important: The road to the cabin includes a hill. During winter months, snow and ice can make it difficult or unsafe to drive up. If conditions are poor, please park at the bottom parking area and walk up to the cabin.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us preserve the beauty and serenity of this space. We hope you have a memorable and relaxing stay!
